Ages 4-12
Sessions run Tuesday - Thursday
9:30am to 3:30pm
at Sugar Valley Farm
$255 per child

Because our summer camps fill so quickly and we want this experience to feel fair and accessible, we’re moving away from first-come, first-served and introducing a 24-hour Application Window.
This change is rooted in care. We want as many children as possible to have the chance to enjoy a joyful, muddy, memory-filled summer in the forest, without families feeling rushed or stressed.
How it works:
• Families will have 24 hours to submit an application for the Summer Session(s) of their choice
• The application window opens Sunday, February 1 at 12:00 PM and closes Monday, February 2 at 12:00 PM
• Each family will be selected for a maximum of three weeks of summer camp so more children get a chance to experience the magic of Summer Forest Camp
• After the window closes, spots will be allocated thoughtfully and families will be contacted with their status by Wednesday at noon
• The early registration deadline for currently enrolled families is Jan 31 at noon
This summer break, OMFS will once again be offering the ever popular Forest Camp program!
Forest camp gives children the opportunity to enjoy summer adventures in the forest, make new friends, challenge themselves and explore the great outdoors.

Children will spend the day exploring, creating, building, and using their imaginations to the fullest. The summer camp leaders will provide opportunities for outdoor skill development, cooperative games, and lots of movement. Camp leaders will follow the children’s lead while providing a safe, valuable program that nurtures a child’s desire to be in the outdoors.
Forest Camp programming may include the following elements: campfire cuisine, fire building, streams and wetland studies, treasure maps and direction, shelter building, wild edibles, nature-based crafts, plant identification and so much more. Children will have an opportunity to work towards specific outdoor skill development, always a favourite amongst campers. As always the children lead the way with their interests and ideas; with play as a core component of the Forest Camp program.
Typically, weather dependent, Thursday is our cookout day! The children will work together to create a meal over the fire (or camp stove if a fire ban is in place), a great way to put their newly learned skills to use!

OMFS Forest camp leaders will be many of the same skilled educators that facilitate programming throughout the year. All educators have experience working in the outdoors, with children, and one or more trained Forest School Practitioners will be part of the staff team each week.
