Forest Friday

The Forest Friday program is on pause until 2021 due to Covid-19

The OMFS Forest Friday program offers an introduction to the forest school program. Caregivers and their child(ren) come prepared for a morning in the forest with one of our outdoor educators. Parents/Grandparents etc. may join into the fun, or simply watch how the forest becomes an instrument in their children’s play. The outdoor educator will guide the children (and their adult!) through an exploration, but will stay true to our philosophy of following the children’s lead.  This program is designed for children ages 2-5 though older siblings may join their family on PA Days and babies in arms are always welcome.  Contact us if your child is younger than 2 and you think this program may be a good fit.

Babies in arms are welcome with no cost.

Some program details:

1. Dress for the weather as we will be outside the entire time (with the exception of extreme cold where we may use our indoor space).
2. Please bring along a snack and water for our storytime in the forest.
3. Please arrive on time! We will begin promptly at 9:30am and will start wandering into the forest shortly after our gathering circle.

Forest Friday continues to remain on pause until the Covid-19 situation shifts.
